Jobless or Underemployed, Millennials Want More

At this point, most are aware of the employment statistics and challenging economic outlook. However, new research indicates that the job shortage has hit members of Generation Y hard—leaving over 40 percent of them underemployed. On top of that, over three-quarters of millennials polled in a recent survey have put off major life changes or purchases due to their economic condition.

As job prospects continue to be slim, many are losing faith in their government’s ability to navigate through these uncertain times. It seems that a troubled economy has come to be the defining challenge of this generation, but what’s next?
